About the position

The Manager, Procurement Operations at Johns Hopkins Health System is responsible for overseeing and executing day-to-day purchasing transactions across the enterprise. This role involves developing key performance indicators, managing procurement processes, and ensuring the availability of supplies, services, and equipment. The Manager will also lead continuous improvement initiatives and collaborate with various stakeholders to align procurement activities with organizational goals.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage day-to-day purchasing transactions for the enterprise-wide organization.
• Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) for direct reports using SAP data and external procurement benchmarks.
• Ensure supplies, services, and equipment are available across the enterprise.
• Be on call in emergency situations to support patient care, including creating or releasing orders during non-standard business hours.
• Lead continuous performance improvement initiatives for the procurement division.
• Collaborate with enterprise stakeholder groups, including Sourcing, Accounts Payable, and Logistics & Distribution.
• Manage the full lifecycle of orders, including purchase order confirmations and shipping information.
• Contribute to the implementation of a new Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) tool.
• Develop policies and procedures related to procurement for the institution.
• Provide guidance, training, and support regarding procurement-related matters.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in a related field (Master's degree preferred).
• Minimum of 6 years' experience in Supply Chain, Procurement, or Sourcing.
• At least 2 years of prior leadership experience.
