About the position

Accenture is seeking a Procurement Operations Solution Architect Senior Manager - Supply Chain to play a pivotal role in designing and implementing complex solutions that optimize supply chain operations for our clients. This position is critical as it involves collaborating closely with strategic partners and internal teams to deliver customized Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) solutions tailored to meet the unique needs of our clients. The Solution Architecture Senior Manager will serve as a single point of contact or as part of a team on large deals, ensuring accountability from the initial stages of the deal through to closure and the transition to the delivery organization. In this role, you will architect end-to-end solutions for large-scale supply chain BPO deals, focusing on key areas such as planning, forecasting, order management, and inventory optimization. You will manage relationships with senior client buyers and functional owners, driving the necessary sign-off of solutions while ensuring alignment with client business objectives, industry standards, risk assessments, and budget considerations. Additionally, you will coordinate with various teams, including sales, Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), and delivery organizations, to ensure effective communication and collaboration throughout the sales process. Your responsibilities will also include preparing business development estimates, schedules, and resource plans, as well as defining the inputs required for cost estimates. You will stay updated with industry trends and best practices in supply chain management and BPO, particularly in areas such as planning and inventory optimization, to ensure that the solutions you design are innovative and effective. This role requires a strong analytical mindset and the ability to translate complex business requirements into actionable technical solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Architect end-to-end solutions for large-scale supply chain BPO deals, focusing on planning, forecasting, order management, and inventory optimization.
  • Manage all Operating Group, senior client buyer, and functional owner relationships for the designated solution.
  • Drive the necessary sign-off of the solution with proper input from the Operating Groups on client business objectives, industry, risk assessment, budget, and preferences.
  • Manage the sales team and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) required during the sales process and ensure effective communication with the delivery organization(s).
  • Direct and coordinate with Legal & Commercial and Corporate Transaction Services (CTS) in areas specific to the solution to ensure the use of standards.
  • Collaborate with the Operating Groups to provide input to Terms and Conditions and be accountable for specific contractual terms and conditions.
  • Identify leadership contacts for service transition and operations and ensure appropriate solution plan transition for closed deals.
  • Interface with delivery organizations to ensure effective transition, shape services, and collaborate on clear solution assumptions.
  • Orchestrate action points from the opportunity Quality Assurance process.
  • Understand and translate buyer requirements into a standard solution offering deal approach, solution plan, proposal, and cost estimate.
  • Prepare the BD spend estimate, schedule, work plan, and resource/sourcing plan.
  • Define the input required to create cost estimates and prepare cost model estimates working with delivery organizations and Solution Management.
  • Collaborate as a key member of the sales team to represent the solution offering to the client buyer and other internal Accenture groups.
  • Align final solution architecture with final terms and conditions, including statement of work and schedules.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies relevant to supply chain management and BPO.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 8 years' experience as a Solution Architect, Technical Consultant, or similar role within the supply chain, procurement, or BPO domain, with hands-on experience in planning, forecasting, order management, and inventory optimization.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in Supply Chain and/or Procurement As-A-Service.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in business development, sales strategy, and/or proposal development roles.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience with Outsourcing, Solution Planning/Deal Shaping.
