About the position

The Procurement Research Analyst position at the Office of Management and Enterprise Services (OMES) involves conducting analyses to support the Central Purchasing Team. The role focuses on enabling and maturing procurement functions, developing cross-functional relationships, and managing multiple initiatives to achieve strategic goals. The analyst will also document findings and present them to high-level executives, primarily using Microsoft PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct analysis of department and unit requirements to achieve Central Purchasing goals.
  • Support the enablement and maturation of procurement functions within the division.
  • Develop relationships across functions and public-private partnerships.
  • Identify cross-collaboration opportunities.
  • Prioritize and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously and follow up on time-critical issues.
  • Support and lead ad-hoc initiatives as necessary.
  • Conduct research and analyze business needs to arrive at a strategic direction.
  • Document findings in a clear and concise manner.
  • Present findings to high-level executives using Microsoft PowerPoint and other tools.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 1 year of college course work toward a degree in a related area.
  • 2 years of equivalent work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
