About the position

The Procurement Sourcing Analyst will be part of the Center of Excellence (COE) and Strategic Initiatives team at Burlington, focusing on optimizing indirect spend through strategy development and best practices in procurement. This role involves creating and implementing standardized reporting processes, managing spend analytics, and providing analytical support for procurement projects, all while collaborating with various internal departments.

Responsibilities

  • Execute development of a reporting tool to capture the progress of the Procurement Team.
  • Cleanse, normalize, categorize, and cross-reference large spend data files for reporting and strategy development.
  • Own and manage the historical spend database ensuring accuracy and availability of data.
  • Manage the Spend Coverage Report to provide strategic insights and recommendations.
  • Actively manage the list of approved vendors by reviewing contracts and pricing agreements.
  • Partner with the Procurement Team to understand maverick spend.
  • Collaborate with business partners to manage critical vendors and reduce risk.
  • Ensure accuracy and completion of weekly project tracking and reporting.
  • Perform ad-hoc spend data analysis to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Conduct market analysis to compare spend trends with market indices.
  • Perform sourcing analysis for sourcing events and manage contract data.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics, Finance, Supply Chain, or MIS preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in place of a 4-year degree would be considered.
  • 1-3 years of experience in Procurement, Supply Chain, or relevant analytical role.
  • Proven experience using data systems such as MS Excel and MS Access.
  • Experience with SAS or equivalent statistical data analysis platform is a plus.
  • SQL, VBA, and/or applicable script writing experience is a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills for managing tasks in fast-paced environments.
  • Skilled in data analysis and trend identification with advanced Excel proficiency.
  • Knowledgeable in finance and accounting with solid decision-making abilities.
  • Excellent communication and influence skills for managing cross-functional projects.
