About the position

The Procurement Sourcing Analyst will be part of the Center of Excellence (COE) and Strategic Initiatives team at Burlington Stores, focusing on optimizing indirect spend through strategy development, innovation, and best practices in procurement. This role involves creating and implementing standardized reporting processes, managing spend analytics, and providing analytical support for procurement projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a reporting tool to measure the effectiveness of the Procurement Team.
• Cleanse, normalize, categorize, and cross-reference large spend data files for reporting and strategy development.
• Manage the historical spend database to ensure data accuracy and availability.
• Provide data-driven insights and recommendations through the Spend Coverage Report.
• Manage the list of approved vendors and review contracts and pricing agreements.
• Collaborate with business units to understand and manage maverick spend.
• Ensure accuracy and completion of weekly project tracking and reporting.
• Perform ad-hoc spend data analysis to identify trends and opportunities.
• Conduct market analysis to compare spend trends with market indices.
• Review and analyze contract data and system attributes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics, Finance, Supply Chain, or MIS preferred.
• 1-3 years of experience in Procurement, Supply Chain, or relevant analytical role.
• Proven experience using data systems such as MS Excel and MS Access.
• Experience with SAS or equivalent statistical data analysis platforms is a plus.
• Knowledge of SQL, VBA, or applicable script writing is a plus.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage tasks in fast-paced environments.
• Advanced Excel proficiency for large dataset management.
• Knowledgeable in finance and accounting with problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and influence skills.
