About the position

The Procurement Specialist, Analytics position at Phillips 66 is part of the Center of Excellence (COE) Data & Analytics team. This role focuses on the development, implementation, and sustainability of analytics related to Category and Sourcing, supporting the company's strategic procurement objectives. The ideal candidate will leverage data to drive commercial negotiations and enhance decision-making processes, working collaboratively with various teams to achieve procurement excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Support Category Management, Field Procurement, & Strategic Sourcing efforts through effective data utilization.
  • Collaborate with Category Managers and Strategic Sourcing teams to develop category-specific commercial models and dashboards.
  • Create Should Cost models for goods and services procured by Phillips 66.
  • Develop and utilize standardized methodologies to evaluate bids, focusing on data-driven insights.
  • Understand and ensure coherent representation of existing ERP and non-ERP datasets for informed decision-making.
  • Partner with teams to define sustainable category data requirements.
  • Collaborate with Insights, Data Engineering, and Data Science Teams to drive meaningful insights through advanced analytics.
  • Drive creativity, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Legally authorized to work in the job posting country.
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 3 or more years of experience in supply chain, business analysis, analytics & reporting, or a related role.
  • Demonstrated strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience in creating and interpreting analytical insights.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite.

Nice-to-haves

  • Prior experience working in Procurement / Supply Chain.
  • 3 or more years of experience in performance reporting and analytics or other data-driven operations discipline.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP R/3 and S/4), cloud data solutions, analytics platforms, and related technologies.
  • Experience with Python, SQL, Power BI, and other Statistical and Machine Learning techniques.
  • Ability to utilize Prompt Engineering techniques to enhance functional excellence.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with business and IT resources.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple assignments simultaneously.
