About the position

The Procurement Specialist is a temporary position within the Clinical Lab Team, responsible for processing purchase orders, managing inventory levels, and supporting logistics to ensure smooth business operations. This role requires attention to detail and effective communication skills to handle procurement tasks efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Process purchase orders and manage inventory levels for laboratory supplies.
• Monitor the receiving process and ensure the condition of packages is intact.
• Source suppliers and maintain procurement programs based on lab feedback.
• Evaluate rush order requests and take appropriate actions to fulfill them.
• Track shipping status and communicate with the Accounts Payable team regarding purchase orders.
• Resolve complaints or issues from end users and maintain inventory levels.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in economics, business administration, purchasing, or supply chain management.
• 1-2 years of work experience in procurement or a related field.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with an ERP system such as NetSuite.
• Bilingual in Spanish.
