About the position
The Procurement Specialist at RTX Corporation plays a crucial role in sourcing and acquiring materials and services for defense-related projects. This position involves managing supplier performance and overseeing the entire purchase order life cycle, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements while fostering strong relationships with subcontractors. The role is integral to supporting various programs and ensuring timely delivery of materials necessary for factory operations.
Responsibilities
- Preparation and issuance of RFP's
- Place purchase orders of low/medium complexity in accordance with regulatory and corporate compliance requirements
- Support negotiation strategies and formal negotiations regarding price, delivery, scope, and terms & conditions
- Perform price and cost analysis techniques in support of proposals
- Nurture professional business relationships with first tier subcontractors
- Work closely with Program and other functional groups to achieve objectives
- Maintain purchase orders to ensure accurate and timely supplier delivery information
Requirements
- Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum 2 years prior relevant experience
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance
- U.S. citizenship is required
