About the position
The Procurement Specialist role at RTX Corporation involves leading the sourcing and acquisition of materials and services, managing supplier performance, and overseeing the entire purchase order life cycle for various defense-related programs. This position requires collaboration with multiple functional groups to ensure timely and accurate supplier delivery, while also nurturing professional relationships with subcontractors.
Responsibilities
- Preparation and issuance of RFP's
- Place purchase orders of low/medium complexity in accordance with regulatory and corporate compliance requirements
- Support negotiation strategies and formal negotiations regarding price, delivery, scope, and terms & conditions
- Perform price and cost analysis techniques in support of proposals
- Nurture professional business relationships with first tier subcontractors
- Work closely with Program and other functional groups to achieve objectives
- Maintain purchase orders to ensure accurate and timely supplier delivery information
Requirements
- Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum 2 years prior relevant experience
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance
- U.S. citizenship is required
