About the position

The Procurement Supervisor at Sparklight/Cable One is responsible for overseeing a significant annual direct spend of $150-200 million and managing a team of four direct reports. This role involves executing procurement strategies, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and building relationships with suppliers to optimize procurement activities and achieve cost savings while ensuring quality and timely delivery of materials.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee $150-200M in annual direct spend and manage four direct reports.
  • Execute the new Vendor Management Inventory program.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand material needs and assist in forecasting demands using data analytics.
  • Build business relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
  • Monitor market trends and supplier performance to identify cost-saving opportunities and process improvements.
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies and policies to optimize activities and achieve cost savings.
  • Lead category cost reductions by analyzing statistical data to determine product buys and establish price objectives.
  • Consult with suppliers to analyze operations affecting pricing and delivery.
  • Prepare bid packages, analyze bids, recommend suppliers, and negotiate pricing.
  • Oversee Supplier Agreements, Item Master, and Supplier Portal.
  • Manage bi-monthly replenishment for approximately 70 warehouse locations across 28 states.
  • Resolve supplier-related issues including disputes, quality concerns, and payment discrepancies.
  • Lead integration and conversions to Oracle for brand acquisitions and provide procurement training to internal stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Business, or a related field, or 10+ years of experience in supply chain management.
  • Proficient in Microsoft products, especially Excel.
  • Experience with Oracle or similar ERP systems is preferred.
  • Ability to lead, develop, and train internal staff members.
  • Meticulous organization, detail-oriented, self-disciplined, and able to multi-task.
  • Ability to create, comprehend, and discuss technical aspects of products and services.
  • Demonstrated excellent people skills and communication.
