About the position

The Procurement Supervisor at AbelZeta is responsible for overseeing procurement processes, including sourcing, negotiation, and contract formulation for various materials and services. This role involves managing supplier relationships, ensuring compliance with ethical standards and local regulations, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize supply chain efficiency in a biopharmaceutical environment.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for procurement work for the AbelZeta US Team according to business needs, including production and laboratory materials, fixed asset procurement, administrative supplies, and food catering.
  • Execute, record, and retain documents for procurement processes, including sourcing, price comparison, negotiation, contract formulation, ordering, payment, and delivery tracking.
  • Manage supplier relationships and evaluate supplier performance.
  • Collaborate with finance and legal to complete contracts and information collection.
  • Work with QA to complete material supplier evaluations and manage deviations.
  • Ensure compliance with the company's Procurement System and supervise departmental compliance in procurement processes.
  • Conduct systematic management of purchased items/materials to ensure timely and accurate information.
  • Ensure material sourcing, price comparison, negotiation, contract signing, ordering, delivery, and payment tracking.
  • Provide feedback and collaborate with suppliers to improve performance.
  • Coordinate with the US Supply Chain and Manufacturing functions on material demand forecasts based on production schedules.
  • Comply with Environmental Health and Safety procedures and Information Security procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with at least 2+ years of purchasing/procurement/supply chain experience.
  • Experience in biopharmaceutical or similar manufacturing environments is preferred.
  • Familiarity with principles of GMP is highly desired.
  • Skilled with Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel and Word, and electronic procurement and inventory management systems.
