The Procurement Technician (Office Automation) position at the Department of Defense involves supporting the procurement process by managing automated contract information systems, generating reports, and maintaining procurement documents. The role is essential for ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of procurement operations within the department.

Responsibilities

  • Generates, prepares, controls, and reviews recurring error reports.
  • Monitors various automated contract information management systems by entering, searching for, editing, and extracting data and information.
  • Works with situations involving the procurement process from contracting pre-award phase through the post-award phase.
  • Updates and maintains the currency of procurement management documents or related information.

Requirements

  • One year of specialized experience in support duties including updating and maintaining documents or reports.
  • Experience compiling data for statistical reports.
  • Experience resolving shipment, payment, or other discrepancies.
  • Proficiency in typing at least 40 words per minute with three or fewer errors.
