About the position
As a part of our produce team at Sam's Club, you'll make important decisions about the quality of the produce that members and their families eat by ensuring availability, cleanliness, and freshness. You will be in the front-lines of customer service - your smile makes a difference and you can help enhance the member's shopping experience. This position is crucial in providing quality and fresh food at low cost, which is one of the biggest reasons our members choose to purchase fruits and vegetables at Sam's Club.
Responsibilities
- Maintaining a positive attitude by smiling, greeting, and thanking members.
- Providing exceptional customer service to members across the club as needed, answering any questions they may have.
- Maintaining a clean, neat, and member-ready area.
- Receiving and stocking merchandise in an organized manner.
- Maintaining inventory to ensure there are no out of stock and over-stock products.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams and helping educate other associates on tools, tasks, and resources.
- Understanding the processes and specifications related to quality of various types of produce merchandise.
- Preparing products according to established standards and maintaining product safety.
- Utilizing digital tools to drive sales and improve the shopping experience.
- Driving the performance of the area and ensuring quality and date control standards.
- Being an advocate for the department and the club by valuing the member's experience.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Passion for and experience with produce.
- Ability to keep member satisfaction as a top priority.
- Comfortable with change and able to quickly adapt to different work scenarios.
- Effective communication skills and ability to positively influence team members.
