About the position

The Produce Team Member at BJ's Wholesale Club is responsible for sorting, displaying, removing, and replenishing fresh fruits and vegetables in the produce department. This role focuses on maintaining the quality and freshness of produce while providing excellent customer service to members. The position requires collaboration with team members to ensure a safe and positive environment, adherence to company standards, and a commitment to delivering outstanding service.

Responsibilities

• Sorts, displays, removes, and replenishes fresh fruits and vegetables in the produce department.
• Provides assistance to members by answering questions and recommending products.
• Inspects, rotates, and stores produce upon delivery to meet company standards.
• Maintains cleanliness and organization of produce displays and storage areas.
• Follows guidelines for disposing of damaged or expired products.
• Assists Fresh Manager with inventory and order processing as needed.
• Cleans and sanitizes produce equipment and display areas.
• Generates signage for produce goods and performs price checks when necessary.
• Maintains club policies and procedures and performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Work experience in a produce department preferred.
• Knowledge of fruits and vegetables preferred, including seasonal items.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
