As a member of our team, you will be responsible for sorting, displaying, removing, and replenishing fresh fruits and vegetables in the produce department. You will maintain the overall environment of the department by providing assistance to members through product knowledge and customer service. It is essential to ensure that all produce meets or exceeds company quality standards. You will carry out job functions and responsibilities as assigned, supporting the application of club policies, procedures, and compliance. In this role, you will deliver service excellence through all points of contact, resolving and deescalating member concerns. Your responsibilities will include providing assistance to members in the produce department, answering questions, recommending products, and ensuring that all received produce meets or exceeds company standards. You will inspect, rotate, and store produce upon delivery, ensuring optimal freshness and variety on the sales floor. Additionally, you will maintain the produce reserve stock area, clean and sanitize all produce equipment, and generate signage for produce goods. Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of this job, and you may be required to work in other departments as needed.
Responsibilities
- Sorts, displays, removes, and replenishes fresh fruits and vegetables in the produce department.
- Provides assistance to members in the produce department, answering questions and recommending products.
- Inspects, rotates, and stores produce upon delivery, ensuring quality standards are met.
- Rotates produce on the sales floor to ensure optimal freshness and variety.
- Maintains the produce reserve stock area, ensuring organization and proper rotation of items.
- Cleans and sanitizes all produce equipment and display areas.
- Generates signage for produce goods and performs price check functions when necessary.
- Maintains all club policies and procedures and performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Work experience in a produce department preferred.
- Knowledge of fruit and vegetables preferred, including seasonal items.
- At least 18 years of age.
