About the position
As a Produce Clerk at Sprouts Farmers Market, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service while managing the presentation and quality of fresh produce. This role involves stocking, merchandising, and maintaining product freshness, as well as engaging with customers to promote healthy choices in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Stock the Produce department, ensuring proper presentation, facing, filling, and organization of all product items.
- Maintain high product knowledge and preparation standards for all produce.
- Ensure proper stocking and rotation of merchandise, including trimming, watering, and merchandising of products.
- Control inventory to maximize product freshness and availability.
- Answer customer questions in a friendly and helpful manner.
Requirements
- Be at least 16 years of age.
- Dependable and reliable with the ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Maintain a high-level code of ethics within Sprouts' culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- Possess a positive attitude and good communication skills.
- Ability to perform repetitious activities and multi-task effectively.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) throughout the workday.
