About the position

The Produce Fresh Cut Lead at Haggen Northwest Fresh is responsible for leading and motivating a team of Fresh Cut crew members to create an exceptional shopping experience for guests. This role involves implementing the corporate Fresh Cut program while enhancing the presentation and sales of fresh produce. The position requires active participation in preparing, packaging, and merchandising fruits and vegetables, as well as ensuring compliance with food safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate a team of Fresh Cut crew members.
• Implement the corporate Fresh Cut program and enhance the go-to-market strategy for fresh products.
• Prepare, package, and merchandise produce products.
• Assist guests with product selection and sales.
• Track sales and build displays while maintaining inventory levels.
• Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation requirements.
• Participate in cleaning and sanitizing food preparation areas, tools, and equipment.

Requirements

• 1-2 years of produce experience in a retail setting.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Must obtain a food handler's permit.
• Physical ability to reach overhead, bend, twist, push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand for up to 8 hours.
