About the position

The Produce Helper at Food City is responsible for providing excellent customer service while assisting in the management of the produce department. This part-time role focuses on maintaining product quality, cleanliness, and a positive shopping environment, ensuring that customers have a friendly and efficient experience.

Responsibilities

• Ensure efficient and courteous customer service at all times.
• Maintain a positive attitude and create an atmosphere of friendliness and fun through flexibility and teamwork.
• Assist the produce manager in ordering, receiving, and displaying all products for processing.
• Rotate all merchandise when stocking to ensure freshness and quality.
• Clean the department according to company standards.
• Shock all green leaf vegetables.
• Assist in unloading trucks and breaking down products.
• Core pineapples as needed.
• Follow the company food safety program.
• Keep workstation and area around workstation neat and clean.
• Sanitize and clean the department at least twice a day.
• Attend on-site work during scheduled shifts to adhere to company time and attendance policies.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to meet standard physical, mental, and visual demands.
• Ability to understand and follow verbal and/or written instructions.
• Ability to perform routine and repetitive tasks with constant interaction with various individuals.
