About the position

As a Perishable Representative at H-E-B, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that the perishable goods department is well-stocked and maintained while delivering exceptional customer service. This part-time position requires a commitment to quality and a passion for helping customers, as you will be responsible for preparing, packaging, and merchandising fresh products daily, all while adhering to food safety and sanitation standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service to all customers.
• Prepare, package, and merchandise fresh products daily.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of display cases and equipment.
• Assist customers with product selections and answer their questions.
• Use suggestive selling techniques to enhance sales and meet customer needs.
• Ensure proper product rotation and storage in the department.
• Communicate product knowledge to customers, including providing samples.
• Perform specific tasks related to various departments such as Aguas, Floral, Market, Produce, and Seafood.

Requirements

• Minimum age of 18 years.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Completion of Company Orientation and Safety Training.

• Experience in a retail or food service environment.
