About the position

The Produce Sales Associate at Yoke's Foods, Inc. is responsible for providing an exceptional customer experience in the Produce Department. This role involves engaging with guests, promoting sales, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere while upholding the company's core values and mission. The associate will actively participate in the successful operation of the department by performing various tasks related to customer service, product handling, and department maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service by greeting guests and informing them about product features and services.
• Promote sales through active discussions with guests and offering product recommendations.
• Assist guests with special requests and ensure their satisfaction with the produce department.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the produce department, including shelving, bins, and coolers.
• Operate equipment safely and correctly, including scales, pallet jacks, and shrink wrappers.
• Mentor new associates and create a positive learning environment.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations regarding food safety and sanitation.

Requirements

• Strong communication skills to engage with guests and provide excellent service.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
• Basic knowledge of produce and food safety standards.
• Physical capability to perform tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in retail or customer service, particularly in a grocery or produce setting.
• Familiarity with food handling and safety regulations.
