About the position

The Produce Sales Associate at Yoke's Fresh Market is responsible for providing an exceptional customer experience in the Produce Department. This role involves engaging with guests, promoting sales, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere while upholding the company's core values. Associates will perform various tasks related to product handling, customer service, and maintaining department standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional service by greeting guests and informing them of special features and product information.
• Promote sales through active discussions with guests, offering product recommendations and discussing current promotions.
• Complete all assigned duties for the successful operation of the Produce Department.
• Ensure all work performed is in accordance with local, state, federal, and company regulations regarding safety and sanitation.
• Mentor new associates and assure a positive learning environment.
• Participate in the Produce Department's accident reduction plan by monitoring for hazards.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Valid State Food Handlers Permit.
• Valid Driver's License or State I.D. Card.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in a retail or customer service environment.
• Knowledge of produce and food safety standards.
