KQED seeks a temporary on-call Producer to help support our podcast department as we work on a limited series chat-based show that explores personal, societal and cultural issues through a Latinx lens. We're looking for a producer with experience and/or expertise in Latino/a/x/e issues and with at least 2 years of audio experience, including audio production, research, interview prep, and booking guests. Experience with the talk/chat show genre and video production is a plus. This position will primarily be responsible for supporting the host and editor create the series. Our candidate should be well organized and detail-oriented and able to thrive working in a small, collaborative, supportive team-environment, while working on a compressed timeline. This is an on-call SAG-AFTRA role running through early June 2025, with variable hours (up to 24 hours/week). The successful candidate will be required to join The Screen Actors Guild - American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (SAG-AFTRA).
