About the position

The Producer - Personal Lines position at Peoples Bancorp Inc. is focused on self-generating new business in personal lines insurance. The role requires a sales-oriented individual who can provide exceptional customer service, manage new policy issuance, and respond promptly to referrals from banking and investment partners. The position combines a base salary with commission earnings based on new business written, emphasizing the importance of reliability and performance in contributing to team success.

Responsibilities

• Self-generate new business through active prospecting and community involvement.
• Respond promptly to referrals from banking and investment partners.
• Provide clients with a complete review of their risks and desired coverage.
• Quote, write, and issue new personal lines insurance policies.
• Complete all applications for placement of coverage with insurers.
• Manage renewal policies following company procedures.
• Attend meetings with insurance, banking, and investment partners as required.
• Perform front-line underwriting for insurance carriers.
• Achieve production goals as assigned.
• Complete special projects as assigned.

Requirements

• Associates degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years of insurance experience preferred.
• Candidate must be a licensed P&C insurance agent.
• Currently has or is pursuing insurance designations (CISR, CIC, etc) preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Sales and service experience required.
• Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively.
• Proficient knowledge and experience using Microsoft Office products.
