About the position

The Product Analyst role at Bloomberg focuses on enhancing the Order Management offering within the Buy-Side OMS (AIM) Product team. This position is pivotal in defining the OEMS (Order & Execution Management) experience, contributing to the strategic product roadmap, and ensuring measurable progress towards the long-term vision for Order Management. The analyst will leverage their expertise in order management and trade execution to create detailed product specifications and collaborate with various stakeholders to deliver integrated solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Help define, align, and lead the execution of the strategic roadmap for Bloomberg Buyside Solutions.
  • Present the vision, value proposition, and development progress to business leadership, sales, engineering, and client stakeholders.
  • Set measurable milestones for the global delivery of cross-asset order and execution workflows.
  • Document clear functional specifications (including OKRs) for each phase of product development.
  • Work collaboratively with other Product owners to integrate Order Management services within other AIM and EMS applications.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, to specification, and that all development milestones are met.

Requirements

  • Deep experience in multi-asset order management and electronic trading workflows.
  • Detailed asset class lifecycle experience in at least one of these asset classes: Equity, Fixed Income, Currency & Commodities, Derivatives.
  • Highly motivated, consensus builder, collaborates well in a team and across wider business.
  • Experience managing complex projects and teams.
  • Detail-oriented with solid analytic and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent presentation skills including written, graphic, and verbal.
  • Ability to engage senior technology staff both internally & externally.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with trading business processes including Order Capture, Electronic Trading, Trade Lifecycle, TCA & Best Execution analysis.
  • Experience with the buy-side client community and an understanding of the roles and interactions between Portfolio Manager and Trader.
  • Software development process (Agile methodology preferred).
  • Project management (status, risks, issues, dependencies).
