About the position

The Product Analyst at Bright Horizons Family Solutions will play a crucial role in analyzing and synthesizing data to derive insights that inform product development decisions. This position reports to the Business Intelligence Director and is integral to the College Coach team, which has been dedicated to assisting families in achieving their educational goals for over 20 years. The team comprises former admissions and financial aid officers who are committed to guiding high school students toward their best-fit educational paths. In this role, the Product Analyst will perform ad hoc SQL queries to support data-driven decision-making within the College Coach team. The analyst will act as a liaison between stakeholders and the College Coach team, ensuring that Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) are accurately measured and visualized on dashboards or other data analytics products. Additionally, the analyst will prioritize data requests based on business needs and create and maintain roadmaps for analytics products aligned with company goals. The analyst will also participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) validation and develop detailed user story acceptance criteria for OKR data analytics products. Responsibilities include grooming, writing, and prioritizing user stories while maintaining a backlog of stories according to the established roadmap. This position offers the flexibility of being based out of a Bright Horizons office or a home office, with occasional travel required, limited to a maximum of twice a year.

Responsibilities

  • Perform ad hoc SQL queries to help teams make data-driven decisions.
  • Act as a liaison between stakeholders and the College Coach team to ensure accurate measurement and visualization of Objectives and Key Results (OKRs).
  • Prioritize and manage data requests based on business needs.
  • Create and maintain roadmaps for analytics products in alignment with company goals.
  • Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) validation and develop detailed user story acceptance criteria for OKR data analytics products.
  • Groom, write, and prioritize user stories while maintaining a backlog of stories per the roadmap.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • 3 years of experience in an analyst or similar role required.
  • Knowledge of and experience with Bright Horizons data warehouse, databases, and general data structure preferred.
  • Experience with web analytics platforms required, along with data visualization skills in Excel.
  • Fluency in SQL required.
  • Knowledge of Bright Horizons products and the specific problems being solved preferred.
  • Experience developing REST and GraphQL APIs preferred.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of Bright Horizons data warehouse and databases.
  • Experience with data visualization in Excel.
  • Familiarity with web analytics platforms.
  • Understanding of Bright Horizons products and end-user needs.
