About the position

The Product Analyst in the Composition of Matter Product Line at Merck Sharp & Dohme is responsible for managing the lifecycle of digital solutions that support scientists in aggregating research and development information into knowledge assets. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to create products that deliver significant business value and enhance user experience throughout the solution's lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Maintain assigned applications as technical owner throughout their lifecycles.
• Develop a sufficient level of relevant scientific & technology domain knowledge to successfully partner with scientific teammates.
• Understand the associated user base and their challenges.
• Analyze the external landscape to inform product decisions.
• Collaborate with a Product Manager to establish objectives and overall product strategy.
• Execute assigned work in the backlog including product discovery, process mapping, and solution delivery.

Requirements

• Minimum B.A./B.S. in a scientific discipline such as engineering, biology, or chemistry, or a technical discipline such as computer science.
• Minimum 3 years professional experience working in the life sciences as a scientist or technologist working with scientists on teams.
• Prior accountability for achieving project outcomes through a direct or indirect team leadership role.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills within cross-functional teams.
