About the position

At FIS, we are looking for curious, motivated, and forward-thinking individuals to join our team as part of the 2022 FIS University Program. This full-time position offers a unique opportunity to engage in team projects, community service activities, and professional development seminars. As a participant in this two-year program, you will receive dedicated support for your growth and success, including quarterly performance connects with your manager and bi-annual merit reviews. The program has start dates in January, March, June, and September, and includes a dedicated "Learning Week" where you will learn how to navigate a corporate environment, understand the structure of FIS, and explore options for growth within the organization. You will also have the chance to hear from FIS leadership about their journeys and participate in networking opportunities with senior leaders, all while building a network of peers across the organization. In the Card and Money Movement Product organization, you will play a key role in leading all aspects of Card issuing globally. This includes establishing the vision and strategic direction for Card Issuing products, which encompasses Card Fulfillment, Tokenization, Digital experiences, payment methods, and Developer Experiences. You will be a key contributor in setting the long-term product strategy alongside the executive team, and you will be responsible for managing and delivering product design and documentation for the organization. As a Product Analyst, you will guide development teams using Agile software development principles to create and deliver software applications that align with business, client, and company goals. You will work closely with stakeholders to understand business problem statements and convert them into user stories, articulating the product vision in a manner that is clear to development teams. Additionally, you will manage the backlog of user stories, establish acceptance criteria, and monitor development progress while providing updates to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Guide development teams utilizing Agile software development principles to create and deliver software applications that meet business, client, and company goals.
  • Understand product strategy, market, industry, and client goals.
  • Work with stakeholders to understand business problem statements and convert them into user stories.
  • Articulate product vision and user stories in a manner clearly understandable to development teams.
  • Manage backlog of user stories for one or more products.
  • Establish user story acceptance criteria, accept user stories, and refine stories with Scrum teams.
  • Review and provide feedback on test plans to ensure application changes meet acceptance criteria.
  • Create Sprint Release Plans with input from development teams.
  • Monitor the development progress and provide updates to stakeholders, as requested.
  • Apply Agile methods and processes to promote a disciplined project management process that encourages frequent inspection and adaptation of ongoing work product.
  • Lead planning and review meetings to communicate feedback on development achievements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from job discipline.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Self-motivated and willingness to learn.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to technical and non-technical audiences of various levels in the organization.

Nice-to-haves

  • The Certified Scrum Product Owner professional certification is preferred, but not required.
