About the position

The Product Analyst I role at COCC involves supporting the Product Development group in executing product strategy, market requirements, and product launches. The position requires a motivated individual with a strong understanding of the banking industry, project management experience, and business analysis skills to facilitate the implementation of new products and services from design to client execution.

Responsibilities

  • Work with development teams, coworkers, and clients to identify product needs and strategies for deployment.
  • Determine product needs and gain approval by analyzing business needs against current system functionality and industry standards.
  • Create requirements documents for development and participate in critical thinking processes during product development.
  • Host focus groups and participate in product forums to gather information and identify clients for development requirements.
  • Perform User Acceptance Testing to ensure products align with client requirements and document findings.
  • Develop release documentation detailing new functionality and system changes.
  • Assist the training department in determining training needs and coordinating training events.
  • Interface with customer support for detailed support as necessary.
  • Work with initial adopters of new product functionality during the product launch.
  • Perform new product/service setup and maintain expectations in line with functionality.
  • Assist in initial end-user training and determine best practices.
  • Follow up post-implementation and provide initial support, transitioning training and support to customer service.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent work experience and/or relevant certifications.
  • Minimum of two years banking or financial services experience, preferably in a technical or operational capacity.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret banking periodicals and technical procedures.
  • Technical aptitude to perform critical thinking and construct database queries.
  • Understanding of relational database structures required.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
