About the position

The Product Analyst Intern at Protagonist will engage in rigorous analysis and documentation to support product development and improvement. This role involves gathering user feedback, creating documentation, and assisting in product testing, all while contributing to meaningful projects that impact communication strategies for clients. The intern will work in a collaborative environment, leveraging data analytics and communication skills to deliver actionable insights.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the analysis, documentation, and presentation of complex issues.
  • Conduct user interviews to gather feedback and insights to inform product development and improvement.
  • Produce clear, concise, and well-structured documentation based on user feedback and research findings.
  • Contribute to the development of product requirements and specifications based on user feedback.
  • Assist in the creation and execution of product testing plans to ensure quality and performance standards are met.
  • Compile and present findings and recommendations to senior management for decision-making.
  • Perform other tasks as directed by senior team members.

Requirements

  • Authorized to work in the US
  • Must be able to work on US Government contracts that may be restricted to US citizens
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or advanced degree in a product-related or data analytics field (e.g., Product Management, Business Administration, Data Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, etc.)
  • Strong note-taking and documentation skills, with attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to conduct user interviews and synthesize feedback into actionable insights
  • Strong analytic and critical-thinking skills
  • Exceptional organizational abilities and problem-solving proficiencies
  • Intellectual curiosity and a willingness to learn about complex topics
  • Able to work 20-32 hours per week
  • Familiarity with using large language models tools like ChatGPT for documentation is required.

Nice-to-haves

  • Enjoys working independently on tasks and projects
  • Familiarity with data science methods and machine learning approaches
  • Basic familiarity with tools like Asana, Jira, or Confluence
  • Comfortable speaking about data analysis.

Benefits

  • Internship pays $19.00 / hour or the applicable local minimum wage rate, whichever is higher.
