About the position

As a Product Analyst for Mobile Solutions at Tyler Technologies, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the Transportation group's portfolio of mobile solutions and products. Your primary responsibility will be to understand and document software requirements that address market problems and meet the needs of clients and prospects. This position requires a deep understanding of the K12 mobile solutions ecosystem and the ability to relate these solutions to real-world problem resolution. You will stay updated on the latest trends in mobile technology and related hardware computing, ensuring that our products remain competitive and relevant in the market. In this role, you will gather requirements of moderate scope and complexity from various sources to support the product development process. You will communicate these requirements in the form of User Stories, which will guide the development team in understanding user needs, program functions, and the necessary steps to develop or modify systems. Your research and analysis will focus on new features based on system requirements defined by business system owners, and you will design requirements and documentation with an eye toward future maintainability and growth of the software. Collaboration is key in this position, as you will work closely with the Product Owner to manage customer enhancement requests and expectations. You will act as a liaison between technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring clear communication of ideas and requirements. Occasional travel to client sites and tradeshows will be required, allowing you to engage directly with users and gather valuable feedback. Overall, this role is essential for driving the success of our mobile solutions and ensuring they deliver exceptional value to our clients.

Responsibilities

• Relate the application of K12 mobile solutions to real world problem resolution.
• Demonstrate an in-depth understanding of the entire ecosystem with an emphasis on the mobile end.
• Stay abreast of the latest trends in mobile and related hardware computing.
• Gather requirements of moderate scope and complexity from a variety of sources to support product development process.
• Communicate information in the form of User Stories that support user needs, program functions, test cases and steps required to develop or modify systems.
• Research and analyze projects for new features based on system requirements defined by business system's owners.
• Design requirements and documentation with foresight for the future maintainability and growth of the software.
• Work closely with the Product Owner to manage customer enhancement requests and expectations.
• Act as a liaison to clearly communicate ideas between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Occasional travel to client sites and tradeshows required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Sciences, Management Information Science, or Business (equivalent work experience may substitute for degree requirement).
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in software or related experience including but not limited to writing and documenting client specifications.
• Solid understanding of the challenges of mobile solutions deployment and use preferred.
• Experience using Agile development processes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge and understanding of the full software development lifecycle and associated methodologies helpful.
• Keen attention to detail.
• Strong planning and organizational skills involving the ability to manage multiple work tasks effectively.
• Strong time management skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills involving communicating technical and non-technical information in writing and verbally.
• Basic knowledge and experience with data modeling, relational databases concepts, and understanding SQL queries.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaborate in a team as well as across functional groups.
• Ability to be effective in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to travel if requested.
