About the position

The Product Analyst in New Product Development will focus on developing new or enhanced insurance products and services for the Homeowners lines of business. This role involves utilizing market research to identify potential market opportunities, executing strategic plans for market entry, and managing the product development lifecycle. The analyst will also work on improving product profitability and customer experience through data analysis and insights.

Responsibilities

  • Provide information to leadership/management that will affect profit and growth plan execution on an ongoing basis.
  • Develop reports, analysis, or recommended strategies related to product development or enhancement, product language, underwriting guidelines, processes, and agent business practices.
  • Analyze information and present opportunities to improve product or business practices and procedures.
  • Monitor effectiveness of current products and recommend changes and/or enhancements to management.
  • Analyze information and/or data in support of the formulation and execution of operational plans.
  • May specialize in supporting pricing activities related to rate reviews, profit and loss ratio-based reviews, experience rating programs.
  • Research philosophies and strategies that support growth and long-term profitability goals.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience providing customer-driven solutions, support or service.
  • Demonstrated experience with various PC software applications and Microsoft Office products.
  • Solid knowledge and understanding of Homeowner's insurance product design and underwriting concepts in area of expertise.
  • Solid knowledge and understanding of market research and marketplace trends in insurance coverage.
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of project management methodologies, practices, techniques and tools.
