About the position

The Product Analyst, Risk Analytics (Modeling) role is designed for individuals with a consulting and/or data science background who are eager to join a start-up culture and take a product from ideation to live service. This position is part of the RTP Risk Analytics product team, which focuses on designing and building advanced AI products to help financial institutions detect and prevent fraud and scams in real-time payments. The role involves working closely with Visa Research and leveraging contemporary AI methods such as Deep Learning and Network Graph Analytics. As part of the RTP Risk Analytics team, the Product Analyst will support the rapid design and build of cutting-edge AI products. This includes collaborating with various teams across Visa to align the RTP Risk Analytics product suite with Visa's global strategy and product offerings. The analyst will also be involved in the commercialization of the service, which entails delivering client pitches, fostering client relationships, and managing pilot projects to demonstrate the value of the service. The position requires a creative and Design Thinking approach to develop innovative solutions to industry challenges. The successful candidate will play an instrumental role in the overall strategy design, commercialization, and execution of Risk Analytics products, becoming the go-to person for Advanced Analytics Products in the Financial Crime/RTP function.

Responsibilities

• Support and collaborate on the design and execution of the RTP Risk Analytics product suite.
• Participate in the end-to-end execution of new product development (Inception, POC, MVP, Live).
• Provide business input to AI design and technology discussions.
• Collaborate with teams across Visa to align RTP Risk Analytics with Visa Global strategy, product suite, and processes.
• Work with Product, Research, Engineering, UX teams, and others to define product goals and deliver key features.
• Manage and plan the phases of client Pilot delivery, working closely with data science teams to deliver successful results.
• Present findings and results back to clients.
• Support product commercialization efforts, including delivering client pitches and demos, and progressing opportunities into client demand.
• Maintain local market relationships.
• Take a creative and Design Thinking approach to develop innovative solutions to industry challenges.
• Actively participate in the overall strategy design, commercialization, and execution of Risk Analytics products.

Requirements

• 2 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD, or PhD).
• Strong background in Consulting programmes (and/or Product Management) for Advanced Analytics products in Financial Services, encompassing both client facing and delivery focused experience (min. 3+ years).
• Experience working in Financial Crime and/or Payments within the Financial Services industry.
• Proven record of accomplishment of success in fast-paced, agile environments with demanding timelines.
• Experience in designing and taking products to market that use complex modelling techniques (inc. AI/ML).
• Experience in management and requirement provision for remote data science teams focused on AI/ML.
• Passion for innovating and delivering truly differentiated products & user experiences.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to interface across levels, regions, cultures, and languages.
• Strong ability to consume complex data and information, develop insights and create impactful stories.
• Ability to contribute to strategic planning, drive change management, and lead executive messaging.
