About the position

The Product Analyst at Klaviyo plays a crucial role in the R&D team by collecting and analyzing data to derive insights that inform product development and customer engagement strategies. This position focuses on the SMS and new channels initiative, aiming to enhance Klaviyo's marketing platform and provide customers with innovative ways to connect with their audiences. The ideal candidate will collaborate with various stakeholders, advocate for data-driven decision-making, and contribute to the continuous improvement of product offerings.

Responsibilities

  • Own the analytics needs of one or more product areas, including metrics selection and tracking, exploratory research, experimentation, and instrumentation.
  • Leverage appropriate statistical tools such as time-series analyses, hypothesis testing, and causal analyses to statistically assess relative impact and extract trends.
  • Generate ideas to shape future analytical projects and initiatives.
  • Develop dashboards and reports to regularly communicate results.
  • Present findings from exploratory research to senior management to drive business decisions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams across disciplines such as product, engineering, design, success, and support.
  • Advocate for data-driven decision making and roadmap prioritization based on understanding of what drives the biggest impact for both customers and Klaviyo.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or advanced degree in math, economics, statistics, engineering, computer science, or other quantitative field.
  • 3+ years of experience in an analytics or data science role.
  • Strong SQL skills and proficiency in tools such as Python, R, Excel, and Tableau.
  • Ability to balance attention to detail with swift execution, including delivering on tight timelines.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
  • Strong communication and organization skills.
