About the position

Great Lakes Credit Union is seeking a dedicated Product Analyst to join our team in Bannockburn, IL. This role is pivotal in helping us fulfill our vision of being the trusted financial partner for our members. The Product Analyst will work under the supervision of the Sr Product Manager and will be responsible for ensuring that exceptional service is delivered to both internal and external members, in alignment with our Service Promise. This position is integral to the success of GLCU's deposit accounts, digital products, payment solutions, and services. The Product Analyst will contribute to the development, enhancement, and management of a comprehensive suite of offerings that cater to the evolving needs of our members while aligning with the strategic objectives of GLCU. A solid understanding of financial products, digital trends, payment systems, and member requirements is essential for this role. The analyst will conduct comprehensive market research to identify trends, opportunities, and threats in deposit and digital products, analyze competitor offerings, and gather data on member needs through surveys and focus groups. In addition, the Product Analyst will assist in the development of new products and enhancements to existing ones, collaborating with cross-functional teams including Marketing, IT, Operations, and Compliance to ensure that products meet member needs and regulatory requirements. The role also involves developing product documentation, managing product-related projects, and championing the member experience by ensuring that all products are user-friendly and aligned with members' expectations. Furthermore, the analyst will analyze product performance and compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and internal policies.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive market research to identify trends, opportunities, and threats in deposit and digital products.
  • Analyze competitor products and services to inform strategic decisions.
  • Gather and interpret data on member needs and preferences through surveys, focus groups, and data analytics.
  • Assist in the development of new deposit and digital products, as well as the enhancement of existing products.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Marketing, IT, Operations, and Compliance to ensure products meet member needs and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop product documentation, including requirements, specifications, and user stories.
  • Manage product-related projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with strategic goals.
  • Champion the member experience by ensuring that all products and services, including payment solutions, are intuitive, user-friendly, and aligned with members' evolving expectations.
  • Analyze product performance, usage patterns, and member behavior to identify opportunities for growth, retention, and revenue generation.
  • Ensure that all deposit accounts, digital products, payment solutions, and services comply with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and internal policies.

Requirements

  • One year to three years of similar or related experience.
  • 2-year college degree, or completion of a specialized study at school, or extensive in-house training.
  • Excel and Visa Online experience.
