About the position

The Product Analyst Summer Intern at Moody's is a hands-on role designed for students pursuing degrees in data-related fields. The intern will support the product team throughout the product lifecycle, engage in requirements gathering, track product performance, and assist in documentation and process improvement. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain real-world experience in a collaborative environment, contributing to meaningful projects while receiving mentorship from industry professionals.

Responsibilities

  • Support the product team in various stages of the product lifecycle, from ideation and planning to development, launch, and post-launch activities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, and marketing, to collect and document product requirements and user stories.
  • Help track product performance metrics and usage analytics, preparing regular reports to assess product adoption and user engagement.
  • Participate in client and stakeholder meetings to understand user needs and communicate feedback to the product team.
  • Assist in creating and updating product documentation, as well as identifying opportunities to improve workflows and processes within the product management team.

Requirements

  • Familiarity with STEM related data and/or modeling techniques and tools.
  • Comfortable working with large and complex data sets, including raw data and diagnostics.
  • Analytical skills to collect, analyze, and disseminate information related to machine learning models.
  • Evaluation skills to position an argument, provide verifiable facts, and elicit stakeholder determination.
  • Interest or ability to craft business narratives to guide near-term business and resource decisions.
  • Students studying towards a Degree in Data Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, Business Administration or related fields.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with multi-linguistic or culture studies and/or their relevant modeling technologies.
  • Experience with artificial intelligence, machine learning, large language models.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and a proactive approach to multiple tasks.
  • Familiarity with financial data and/or software (SQL, JIRA, or Confluence).
