About the position

The Product Analyst for the Visa Analytics Platform will play a crucial role in enhancing the data analytic capabilities offered to clients. This position involves collaborating with various teams to gather and document requirements for new reports and reporting enhancements, ultimately driving revenue and supporting key business initiatives. The analyst will act as a product owner, overseeing the development, testing, and deployment of these enhancements, while also coordinating with marketing and legal teams to ensure effective communication and training for users.

Responsibilities

  • Work cross-functionally with global and regional product and sales teams to gather and document requirements for new reports and reporting enhancements.
  • Write user stories and take on the product owner role for the team developing new reports and enhancements.
  • Coordinate with marketing and legal teams to create documentation, training, and communications for users.
  • Ensure that new reports and enhancements meet client needs and drive revenue.
  • Participate in the development, testing, and deployment of reporting enhancements to the Visa Analytics Platform.

Requirements

  • 2 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD, or PhD).
  • 3 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or more than 2 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree.
  • 2+ years of work experience performing the scrum product owner role.
  • Proven problem-solving skills with a strong focus on client needs.
  • Ability to transform business requirements into detailed technical requirements for technology teams.
  • Experience in a business analyst or product management role with knowledge of platform development.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to build connections with internal Visa teams.
  • Excellent analytical (qualitative and quantitative) acumen and strong attention to detail.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with BI tools such as Power BI, MicroStrategy, and Tableau.
  • Experience influencing people without relying on direct authority.
  • Curious and inquisitive personality with a strong desire to discover the why behind business needs.
