About the position

The Product Analyst at FHLB Dallas plays a crucial role in bridging customer needs with product delivery. This position involves collaboration with product managers, development teams, and business stakeholders to ensure the success and quality of product development. The analyst will utilize strong analytical skills to translate business requirements into product features, design a product quality strategy, and conduct analyses on product usage and feedback to align with business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to develop product requirements and features definitions.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of the product capabilities roadmap.
  • Lead the product backlog refinement and optimize the sequence of product feature development.
  • Lead the development of product testing scenarios and maintain them to reflect product changes.
  • Work with cross-functional development teams to ensure product development aligns with customer needs.
  • Conduct product and customer analysis to inform product strategy and roadmap.
  • Advocate for users and strive to provide a positive user experience.
  • Analyze product usage, business architectures, and data flows; design and recommend improvements.
  • Analyze product testing scenarios and drive test case development from development teams.
  • Analyze testing results to ensure the product meets business needs and quality standards.
  • Assist product managers in managing the Bank's project portfolio.
  • Monitor product development KPIs and identify risks impacting product goals.
  • Communicate progress and performance to stakeholders.
  • Help prioritize and align product delivery with the Bank's strategic objectives.
  • Assume additional responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, business administration, management information system or related fields.
  • 3+ years of experience as a SAFe product owner, technical project manager, or equivalent role in an Agile software development environment.
  • 5+ years of experience as a product analyst, business analyst, data analyst, or quality assurance analyst in developing complex software products.
  • Experience across the full spectrum SDLC environment for web applications and web APIs, particularly in Analysis, Design, and Test phases.
  • Proven experience with requirements elicitation and managing diverse stakeholder needs.
  • Experience in diagramming software components, process flows, and data flows.
  • Practical experience with software testing methodologies and techniques.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, along with strong presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in navigating ambiguity and making difficult decisions.
  • Knowledge of regulations and standards in the financial services industry.
  • Possession of SAFe Product Owner, Agile Product Management, or Scrum Product Owner certification.
