About the position

The Product Analyst is a pivotal role within Tyler Technologies, primarily focused on addressing specific challenges faced by the municipal justice industry. This position requires a deep understanding of the problems that need to be solved and the ability to effectively communicate these issues, along with the necessary requirements and constraints, to the software engineering team. The goal is to develop effective solutions that meet the needs of our clients. As a subject matter expert, the Product Analyst will guide new features through the development process, ensuring that they are aligned with client needs and expectations. This role also involves supporting the delivery of these solutions to customers through comprehensive documentation and engaging demonstrations. In this role, the Product Analyst will be actively involved in every stage of the product management lifecycle, with a particular emphasis on the Design and Deliver phases. Responsibilities include conducting thorough market research to identify problems, engaging in onsite and virtual visits to client sites, and interviewing clients and prospects to gather insights. The Product Analyst will also attend industry conferences and user gatherings to stay informed about trends and competing products. Prioritizing problems to solve is crucial, as is evaluating incoming requests and maintaining a backlog of planned development work. The role requires organizing the release of product features, validating priorities and plans with stakeholders, and designing solutions to identified problems. Effective communication of requirements in the form of epics and stories is essential, as is collaboration with designers on mockups and prototypes, and with engineers on technical solutions. The Product Analyst will validate designs and requirements with stakeholders, deliver solutions to the market, and guide the development and testing of new features. Documentation of features and functionality for future reference is also a key responsibility, along with demonstrating and training stakeholders on new features. Additionally, the Product Analyst will drive the adoption of solutions, measure their usage in the target market, and assist in sales demonstrations, webinars, and proposals. Advocacy through marketing campaigns and community messaging, as well as participation in Tyler conferences and events, are also integral to this role.
