About the position

The Product Analyst plays a crucial role in supporting software product offerings by analyzing and developing software features to meet client needs. This position involves collaboration with end-users and software engineers in a dynamic, startup-like environment, focusing on ensuring products are functional, intuitive, and cost-effective. The analyst will engage in software ideation, development processes, and build relationships with future clients to support industry needs.

Responsibilities

  • Analyzing, evaluating, and aiding in the development of software features and functions.
  • Researching industry and regulatory requirements, competitor products, and relevant changes that may affect end-users.
  • Creating user-oriented software requirements and specifications.
  • Participating in discussions with engineers, end-users, and customers to understand their business processes.
  • Observing end users to identify ways to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Supporting the development of features in collaboration with Engineering and stakeholders.
  • Writing user scenarios to capture user needs and assisting engineering in implementation.
  • Mapping workflows and creating user stories.
  • Testing platform features, functions, and UI/UX with customers.
  • Supporting Engineering in creating test cases for new features.
  • Ensuring product performance aligns with user expectations.
  • Anticipating user actions to identify and resolve system defects.
  • Understanding software development processes and contributing to continuous improvement.
  • Assisting in project schedule development and providing estimation inputs.
  • Eliciting requirements and specifications from internal and external sources.
  • Implementing client feedback as necessary.
  • Assisting developers in interpreting requirements during design and testing phases.
  • Generating requirements and specification documentation.
  • Assisting in onboarding and implementation for new clients.
  • Creating and maintaining knowledge base documentation for end users.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required; degree in a related field is a plus.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
