About the position

The Center for Data and Insights at Crunchyroll is seeking a Product Analyst who will play a crucial role in understanding data, creating engaging visualizations, tracking business trends, and storytelling. This position is integral to delivering insights to key collaborators on the Payments and Subscriptions team, as well as other members of the Product organization. The analyst will work closely with leads and teammates across the CDI organization to investigate data trends, build business insights, and recommend proactive measures that will enhance decision-making processes. In this role, you will be responsible for developing recurring reporting to evaluate the performance of product launches and projects. You will establish, evaluate, and report on key performance metrics, providing partners within the Product team with practical insights that will enable them to monitor their products and projects effectively. Additionally, you will engage in ad-hoc data projects that focus on understanding valuable and risky user behaviors. Your ability to dive into large datasets will be essential in uncovering insights and providing impactful recommendations to team members. This position adopts a hybrid work schedule, and applicants are being considered for the San Francisco location. As a member of the Center for Data and Insights team, you will contribute to Crunchyroll's mission of delivering the best content to a global audience by providing recommendations on how to organize, plan, communicate, and measure critical initiatives across all brands.

Responsibilities

  • Develop recurring reporting to evaluate the performance of product launches and projects.
  • Establish, evaluate, and report on key performance metrics.
  • Provide partners within Product with practical insights to monitor their products and projects.
  • Conduct ad-hoc data projects to understand valuable and risky user behaviors.
  • Dive into large datasets to uncover insights and provide impactful recommendations.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience with data analysis, advanced analytics, statistics, experimentation, and optimization.
  • Minimum of 1+ years of experience with data visualization tools like Tableau, Preset, etc.
  • Fluency in data analysis, including defining KPIs, descriptive statistics, and experimental design.
  • Experience in Web and Behavioral analytics tools like Google Analytics, MixPanel, and Amplitude.
  • Strong SQL skills.
  • Familiarity with building/reviewing data science models using Python/R is a plus.
  • Ability to tell a story with data, communicating useful insights in an easily digestible manner.
  • Experience identifying opportunities for product improvement and evaluating those initiatives for feasibility.
  • Ability to thrive in an ambiguous setting with a passion for making things better.
