About the position
The Product Analyst at Plymouth Rock Assurance will lead the development of product features, pricing strategies, and competitive positioning. This role involves analyzing complex issues to create favorable business outcomes and providing recommendations for new rating plans, underwriting rules, and process improvements. The analyst will serve as a liaison between the Product department and other interfacing departments, ensuring alignment and effective communication.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development of product features and pricing strategies.
- Analyze complex issues to provide recommendations for new rating plans and underwriting rules.
- Drive business growth and profitability for assigned states by managing P&L.
- Utilize predictive modeling and quantitative concepts to inform business applications.
- Manage high-complexity projects using data systems to identify and solve strategic business issues.
- Interface with various departments to address their needs related to product management.
- Review documentation and coordinate activities with marketing, customer service, underwriting, finance, and IT.
- Serve as a regulatory expert and monitor competitive and legislative environments to identify threats and recommend responses.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in personal lines product management, actuarial, or analytical roles.
- Master's degree preferred.
- Strong understanding of the insurance industry.
- Experience with relational database tools and concepts.
- Excellent project management and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server or related software.
