About the position

The Product Application Engineer at SEW-EURODRIVE USA is responsible for supporting and growing the company's Electronics, Automation, and Electro-Mechanical product lines. This role requires a dynamic professional who can provide creative solutions and establish long-term success through effective customer engagement and technical expertise. The engineer will work closely with customers to advise on technology selection, troubleshoot automation issues, and deliver training as a subject matter expert.

Responsibilities

• Advise customers on proper technology and product selection
• Diagnose and solve customers' automation issues using standard troubleshooting tools and techniques
• Understand customers' needs while offering standard and custom training to support products and projects
• Perform troubleshooting and research toward the resolution of customer issues
• Other duties and special projects as assigned

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Computer Engineering
• 1-4 years of experience in a related field
• Good logical technical knowledge and organizational skills
• Understanding of Industrial Automation - Hardware and Software
• Knowledge of major PLC languages, IEC61131, C#, C++, and others
• Understanding of VFDs, PLCs, Motion Control, Robotics, and Fieldbus systems
• Self-driven and proactive learner
• Willingness to travel more than 30%
