About the position

The Product Application Staff Engineer (HiRel) will serve as the primary point of contact for customers utilizing IR HiRel semiconductor products in space and defense applications. This role involves developing application product boards for testing, engaging in discussions about radiation effects, and creating automation software for data capture. The engineer will collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure successful product launches and document all test procedures and results systematically.

Responsibilities

• Act as the application point of contact for customers using IR HiRel semiconductor products.
• Develop product application boards for application and radiation effect testing.
• Engage in discussions regarding radiation effects with customers.
• Create automation software to capture data from application and radiation test runs.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders for successful product launches.
• Document test procedures, programs, schematics, and test results in an organized manner.
• Participate in trips to radiation test facilities regularly.
• Write technical marketing materials such as application notes, whitepapers, user guides, and conference papers.

Requirements

• M.Sc or PhD in Physics or Electrical Engineering with 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience.
• Experience in electronic systems for HiRel applications in space and defense.
• Understanding of radiation requirements for harsh environment applications.
• Hands-on experience with laboratory test equipment such as oscilloscopes, source meters, power supplies, and function generators.
• Experience using data acquisition and analysis software such as LabView, Python, SRIM, and CREME96.
• Highly organized with strong communication and presentation skills.
