About the position

As a Product Applications Engineer III at our client, an industry leader in the design and manufacture of high-performance solutions for the medical device market, you will play a crucial role in the Engineering Department. This position involves supporting the Sales team and external customers by acting as a technical expert in customer-facing activities. You will assess customer needs, inform them of the company's capabilities, and review customer-supplied design data for accuracy and manufacturability. Your strong project management abilities and experience with PCB/printed circuits will be essential in ensuring customer satisfaction and successful project outcomes. In this role, you will serve as the technical point of contact for both initial and follow-up discussions with customers. You will perform thorough reviews of customer requirements and provide guidance on the company's capabilities, ensuring that all customer expectations are met. Collaboration with the Sales team will be key, as you will communicate with customers regarding the progress of work orders and address any technical inquiries they may have. Your ability to effectively communicate complex technical information in a clear and concise manner will be vital to your success in this position.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a technical expert in customer-facing activities, assessing customer needs and informing them of company capabilities.
  • Review customer-supplied design data for accuracy and manufacturability.
  • Serve as the technical point of contact for initial and follow-up discussions with customers.
  • Perform thorough reviews of customer requirements and provide guidance on company capabilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering/sciences with 5+ years of experience or 15+ years of experience in a technical engineering role.
  • 2+ years' experience in manufacturing flexible printed circuits, Integrated Circuit Manufacturing, or MEMs.
  • Background in medical, aerospace, or defense industries is preferred.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems, with SAP preferred.
  • Ability to view and modify Gerber or DXF data.
