About the position

The Product Assurance Manager at EnerSys is responsible for overseeing and ensuring the quality and compliance of product assurance activities on space power projects. This role involves collaboration with various disciplines to produce necessary documentation and hardware for customer delivery, while also serving as the primary point of contact for product assurance with customers. The position plays a crucial role in supporting international space missions and impacts global operations.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for on time and on quality Product Assurance activities
  • Prevent, investigate and resolve non-conformances on assigned projects
  • Deliver documentation to meet customer PA requirements (e.g. NCRs, EIDPs, Inspection Reports)
  • Deliver specialist Product Assurance analysis and documentation (PM&P, EEE, RAMS, Safety)
  • Chair internal readiness review meetings (MRR, TRR, and DRB)
  • Generate key inspection points and reports during assembly and test phase
  • Complete compliance statements for the product via VCD
  • Classify, track and log changes to the product baseline (via CCBs)
  • Notify the customer of baseline changes (e.g. tracking the status of RfD/RfW)

Requirements

  • A degree in a STEM subject, equivalent qualification or industry experience
  • Experience delivering PA engineering or manager duties on spacecraft projects
  • Experience inspecting and accepting spacecraft hardware
  • Experience producing technical Product Assurance documentation: Materials, Process, Components and Parts Lists; Hazard Analysis; Reliability and FMECA Reports
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of European Space Industry standards (ECSS)
  • Ability to interpret European Space Industry standards (ECSS) and develop compliant solutions
