About the position

The Product Category Manager at Interstates is responsible for leading the strategic development and management of a portfolio of offers, ensuring alignment with client needs and organizational growth objectives. This role involves setting direction for the category, guiding cross-functional teams in defining and launching compelling offers, conducting market analysis, and managing offer lifecycles to maximize strategic impact. The position serves as a visionary for their sub-category, advocating for client-centric innovation and effectively communicating offer value propositions to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and articulate the vision and strategic direction for the sub-category in alignment with the broader Offer Category vision.
  • Set growth objectives, revenue targets, gross profit, and contribution margin goals for the sub-category and associated product offerings.
  • Identify target markets and client segments for the sub-category.
  • Conduct thorough market analysis to understand client needs and validate market problems.
  • Assess the business case for new and enhanced product offerings.
  • Set the direction for and oversee the execution of a comprehensive product roadmap for the sub-category.
  • Guide and lead the development and launch of compelling product offerings, ensuring alignment with company readiness and market demand.
  • Manage the product portfolio across its lifecycle, optimizing offerings and ensuring diversity across markets and client types.
  • Act as the advocate and voice of the client within the organization.
  • Collaborate with business development and client-facing teams to develop acquisition plans to meet financial and non-financial targets.
  • Partner with Marketing to strategize methods for client outreach and persuasion.
  • Facilitate product decisions and recommendations based on market and customer insights.
  • Coach and inform team members about the value and functionality of our product offerings.
  • Foster collaboration across diverse teams to improve internal processes and ensure seamless project execution.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or 4-6 years of experience is required.
  • Manufacturing/Industrial knowledge or experience is a plus.
  • Product Management certification preferred.
