About the position

The Product Certification Program Manager at Waites Sensor Technologies Inc. is responsible for leading the global product certification program for both new and existing products across various regulatory domains. This role serves as the primary contact for the certification process, managing relationships with external test labs and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards. The ideal candidate will have experience in product certification and will work closely with engineers to solve certification-related challenges.

Responsibilities

• Manage and influence all product certifications globally in areas such as General Safety, Hazardous Location, Wireless Communications, and Environmental/RoHS.
• Oversee both new product certifications and the maintenance of existing product certifications.
• Manage the budget, work scope, and deliverables of multiple external test laboratories, including NRTL's.
• Develop and manage the document and information storage strategy related to product certifications and test results.

Requirements

• Knowledge and work experience in obtaining product certifications in at least one regulatory domain: General Safety, Hazardous Location, or Wireless Communication.
• Strong organizational skills, clear written and verbal communication, and attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate effectively with design engineers, manufacturing engineers, and test engineers.

Nice-to-haves

• Engineering or Science degree preferred but not required.
