About the position

As a Product Compliance Analyst at Grainger, you will be responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance for all products within the Grainger portfolio. This role involves maintaining compliance information, supporting customer inquiries regarding compliance documentation, and collaborating with third-party testing laboratories to stay updated on regulatory changes. You will report to the Supervisor of Product Compliance and play a key role in ensuring that products meet safety and health regulations and industry standards.

Responsibilities

  • Review, analyze, and maintain compliance information related to applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Apply restrictions for sale and hazard identifications for transport.
  • Research and interpret regulations and standards to ensure compliance with industry and agency standards.
  • Partner with third-party testing laboratories to understand regulatory updates and product testing requirements.
  • Maintain the SDS database, ensuring documentation is accurate and available for customers.
  • Support SDS and labeling requirements to meet Global Harmonization Standard (GHS).
  • Communicate product compliance and safety issues, proposing action plans for resolution.
  • Prepare and provide reporting on product compliance issues and impacts.
  • Work with peers and partners to support projects and improvement opportunities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or relevant experience.
  • 1+ years of experience in a related field.
  • Proven experience in research and analysis.
  • Strong reporting and Excel skills.

  • Product knowledge, laboratory testing, or product inspection/auditing experience or coursework.
