About the position

The Product Compliance Analyst will support Burlington's Product Safety & Regulatory Compliance Center of Excellence by ensuring that products imported by Burlington comply with US Federal, State, and regional requirements, as well as the company's own safety and quality standards. This role involves managing compliance documentation, monitoring regulatory activities, and improving processes related to product safety and compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain master style tracker for product test reports and compliance documents.
  • Assist with follow-up on outstanding test reports and compliance documents.
  • Maintain process for CPSC GCCs/ CPCs.
  • Manage PO hold process for styles missing test reports or certificates of compliance.
  • Establish metrics and create reporting tools to assess vendor performance and product compliance.
  • Assist in creating, updating, and disseminating department manuals and SOPs for product safety and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and maintain a process for document distribution and vendor acknowledgment.
  • Update and maintain product compliance portal.
  • Support product recall process.
  • Monitor US Federal, State, and Regional activity related to product safety and chemical regulations and provide summaries to leadership.
  • Coordinate department and vendor trainings, onboarding meetings, and workshops.
  • Participate in new vendor onboarding meetings.
  • Utilize technology to streamline department processes and drive efficiency.
  • Attend industry workshops and seminars to enhance knowledge of product safety and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage store audit process and ensure audits are conducted according to PLC.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a corporate retail Product Safety/Integrity & Quality role.
  • Knowledge of consumer goods test methods and testing requirements.
  • Knowledge of key US safety and chemical regulations, such as CPSIA and CA Prop 65.
  • Ability to cultivate relationships with internal and external business partners.
  • Ability to work independently and solve problems in a dynamic environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, with advanced skills in MS Excel and PowerPoint.
