About the position

The Product Configuration Analyst II at ASSA ABLOY Door Group is responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining product configurations and manufacturing rule sets to meet business requirements. This role involves collaborating with project teams, training junior team members, and ensuring effective communication between customers and manufacturing. The analyst will also focus on improving order processing efficiency and maintaining a customer-oriented approach while adhering to company policies and regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, implement, and maintain product configuration and manufacturing rule sets.
  • Assist with business discovery and analysis to establish specifications and guidelines.
  • Work with project teams to determine business and technical requirements.
  • Develop and maintain manufacturing and order systems product rules of moderate to high complexity.
  • Create procedures, work instructions, and guidelines to meet business needs.
  • Maintain the product configurator user interface and make necessary modifications.
  • Develop and manage system and process enhancements for the Order Processing Department.
  • Coordinate the flow of order system information between customers, technicians, and manufacturing.
  • Lead development and execution of systems enhancements related to quality and new product offerings.
  • Train end users in product configuration technology.
  • Prepare technical reports, memoranda, and instructional documentation as required.
  • Participate in a safe and harmonious working environment.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required; undergraduate degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience with highly configured products or product configurators in a business production environment.
  • Solid understanding of computer programming including SQL Server, IBM DB2, Visual Studio, C#, ASP.Net, and CSS.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems such as Custom (iSeries), MacPac, and/or JD Edwards.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and critical thinking ability.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally before diverse groups.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with product configuration technology.
